Experiencing as much as I can. Growing and changing as much as I can.
My years have taught me this: Everybody's life is chock-full of STUFF (people, events, things...), some of it good and some of it bad. The people who learn how to focus on the positive end up content and fun to be around. The people who focus on the negative end up miserable. It doesn't matter how rich, powerful, popular you are... All that matters is that focus. I strive to focus on the positive and, by now, I succeed the vast majority of the time. Most days I have a lot of fun, even if I'm not really doing anything in particular.
That's my definition of success.
And one final thought: I'm not a money-driven guy. Possessions don't really thrill me. People do. It doesn't matter how many THINGS you own, if you don't have somebody wonderful and real and valued to share them with, they mean nothing. And if you're lucky enough to have those people in your life, then sharing something as mundane as a meal, a movie, a kiss, a moment, or a game of Scrabble, can be a mind-blowing experience.
And I'm all for mind-blowing experiences.
